Absorption Spectra: Magnesium, Oscillator Strengths: Magnesium
Scientific paper
Energy terms, dipole oscillator strengths and photoionization cross-sections from the ground state have been calculated for Mg. The energies and line widths in the continuum for the autoionizing (3p,ns)1P0, n = 4 - 6, states were also obtained. The configuration interaction method was used for initial and final states. Atomic orbitals were generated by means of an angular-momentum-dependent, scaled, Thomas-Fermi-Dirac-Amaldi model potential.
