Scientific paper

On the basis of the number of polar faculae for 1847 - 1979 mean curves have been constructed separately for odd and even 11-year solar cycles (by superposit epochs method). Declining phases of odd and even solar cycles are significantly different. This indicates the presence of a 22-year solar cycle. Similar mean curves of spring temperatures in Leningrad for 1752 - 1980 are also different at the declining phases. The maximum amplitude of a 22-year cycle in spring temperatures of Leningrad is 2°3.
