The interference of radio waves from a moving elevated source in the case of oblique reflection from the ionosphere is examined in the framework of the geometrical-optics approximation. For cases of surface and volume reflections for different path lengths, formulas are derived which make it possible to calculate the beat period and the cophase band of waves from true and imaginary sources.
