The UV photometric measurements of Titan are reviewed. Previous models proposed for the interpretation of the UV albedo of Titan are reviewed and most recent attempts based on microphysical modeling of the haze thought to be the key factor in this part of the spectrum are presented. The possible links between albedo contrasts and compositional variation are addressed and an attempt is made to derive implications for the aspect of Titan in the UV. Modeling the Titan spectrum in the 160 to 300 nm range is addressed and the prospects for future compositional studies in this domain are examined.
