Post-optical maximum oscillations of classical novae and their empirical
characteristics are studied. Particular attention is given to GK Persei
radial velocity oscillations of the Orion absorption component which
appear to have minima for only each second light curve maximum. Possible
interpretations of the phenomenon are discussed.
