The paper proposes a mechanism for the formation of the front echo of meteoroids in the case of radar observations, which is connected with the generation of plasma turbulence in the ablation products and in the surrounding ionosphere. The possibility of the generation of plasma turbulence in this case is shown with reference to the explosive injection of an alkali metal into the ionosphere. The role of the ionospheric state in the generation of the turbulence is noted.
