We present an web-based data display tool which provides analysis capabilities for high time resolution energetic particle data. This tool makes use of Java technology for platform independence, but more importantly, it uses Java's interface mechanism to define a mission independent data layer which can represent data from multiple missions. Currently, datasets for ISEE-1, ISEE-2, AMPTE/CCE have been made available through the tool. Efforts are underway to include datasets from GEOTAIL and CASSINI, and possibly Voyager. The software runs in any browser enabled with Java 2, and is available at http://sd-www.jhuapl.edu/MIDF. This work is the outgrowth of a grant from NASA's Advanced Information Science Research Program (AISRP).
