High frequency (period < 30 minutes) Atmospheric Gravity Waves (AGWs) were observed with OH airglow images at Starfire Optical Range, NM (35oN, 106oW) during the night of Dec. 7, 1999. Simultaneously, measurements of wind and temperature in the range of 80-100km were made by a co-located Na lidar, which were analyzed for T'and W' for the same waves observed by the imager. Five wave periods were identified for the night. The intrinsic gravity wave parameters were deduced from the observed wave structure in the images and lidar horizontal winds. The phase and amplitude of W' are in consistent with those of T'. The ratio of OH airglow intensity to AGW amplitude was deduced and compared to the prediction by an analytical model developed by Swenson and Gardner [1998]. The observations agree fairly well with the model, with differences within the measurement uncertainties.
