The first UKIDSS ultracool dwarf candidates have been found in science verification data of 200 square degrees. They have been selected YJH photometry (Figure 1). We request CTIO 4-m Blanco observing time to obtain follow-up multi-filter (YJHKs) imaging of a dozen of candidate L-T-Y dwarfs. These data are necessary to confirm the candidates, improve their photometry and measure the proper motions. The best candidates will be selected for spectroscopic observations, so we would like these observations to be scheduled early in the semester.
