Scientific paper

The frequency of occurrence of solar flares over the period from January 1955 to September 1964 was analyzed. Six distinct peaks corresponding to the periods of 2.8 years, 1.42 year, 1 year, 289 days, 123 days, and 51.6 days were revealed. No peaks corresponding to a period of 154 days were found, and the flare-productive areas at the latitude of 17° rotated essentially with the Karrington period.
