Atmospheres: Radiative Transfer
Scientific paper
A strict asymptotic formula is derived for the radiation flux in a weakly absorbing homogeneous atmosphere of arbitrary optical thickness above a reflecting ground with an albedo A. The formula expresses the flux in some auxiliary quantities that are extensively tabulated. An integral of the radiative transfer equation is found, which is expressed in elementary functions.
