Pre-solar SiC has been found in comet dust collected by the Stardust
mission. SiC is robust, survives aerogel capture and it is identified by
TEM + nanoSIMS. SiC provides a new means to estimate the pre-solar
content of Wild 2, a Kuiper belt comet.
