The Ursa Major Group ("UMaG") is one of the few clusters accessible to IUE. From ground-based observations, I have determined which of the solar-type stars (F7V to K3V) that have been assigned to this group on kinematical grounds are indeed real members on spectroscopic grounds. I wish to observe these bona fide UMaG members with IUE to determine the state of a typical solar-mass star at the age of UMaG (3 x 10^8 years), as well as to determine the variation of the chromospheres and transition regions with spectral type at this age. This information will provide a set of data for stars of known age, useful for understanding the variation of chromospheric and transition region emissions with age and mass in late-type dwarfs.
