High and low dispersion UV spectra (1200 - 3200 Å) of three recent classical novae (N Sgr 1982, N Mus 1983, and N Ser 1983) have been obtained during early stages of decline. High dispersion IUE spectra of N Mus 1983 were obtained a few weeks and more than a year after the outburst in the nebular phase. Simultaneous optical spectroscopy was carried out for N Sgr 1982 and for N Mus 1983. The line spectra and continua are discussed. The electron density and temperature of the dilute envelope of N Sgr 1982 were derived. Some conclusions about CNO overabundances, shell geometry, and speed classes of the different objects are drawn.
