A solution is obtained to the quantum mechanical problem of optimally
estimating the amplitude of an external effect on a gravitational
antenna of given structure. An optimal spectral processing technique is
proposed for the antenna output signal. The optimal procedure is shown
to eliminate the existence of a quantum sensitivity limit.
