A number of galaxies with optical appearances between those of normal, actively star-forming spirals and S0 galaxies were examined. Tests made to find if these smooth arm spirals could have, at one time, been normal, actively star-forming spirals whose gas was somehow removed, and that are currently transforming into 80 galaxies are discussed and the results are evaluated.
