Curves describing the wavelength dependence of the surface albedo of
Venus have been constructed from measurements of scattered solar
radiation made by the probes Venera 9 and 10. The wavelength dependence
of albedo is consistent with that expected from Pisgah or Red Cinder
type basalts with grain diameters of less than 53 microns.
