The paper considers the problem of trajectory correction during the approach of an interplanetary probe with an autonomous navigation system to a planet. It is considered that the autonomous optical system performs three separate measurements making it possible to determine deviations of the actual trajectory from the one prescribed in the picture plane. A three-parameter correction is accomplished after each set of three measurements. The correction procedure is based on the determination of a distribution of correction moments for which the cumulative correcting impulse is minimal.
