An analytical theory is developed for the motion of interstellar hydrogen atoms in the solar L-alpha radiation field. The hydrogen distribution in the solar system is examined taking into account the deviation of the solar L-alpha line 'profile' from a flat curve (i.e., assuming a nonconstant ratio between the forces of solar radiation pressure and gravitational attraction). The effect of a parabolic L-alpha 'profile' on scattered radiation intensity is evaluated. It is shown that the errors associated with the deviation of the solar L-alpha line 'profile' from a flat curve should not exceed 5% in the calculation of scattered radiation intensity.
