The paper deals with the results of measurements of precipitating
electron and proton fluxes with energies between 10 and 100 keV, which
were carried out onboard Cosmos 484 at high latitudes. The precipitation
regions are studied in terms of the AE-index of magnetic activity. Some
mechanisms responsible for precipitation are examined.
