Pioneer-Venus and Venera probe data are used to examine radiative heat transfer in the Venusian atmosphere. A vertical temperature profile in the approximations of radiative-adiabatic and radiative equilibria of the atmosphere is obtained, and a radiative flux profile is presented. Results show that the cloud/haze optical model of Kondrat'ev et al. (1980) is suitable for the interpretation of radiative heat fluxes in the 0-90 km height range.
