The present state of solar neutrino theory and experiment is reviewed.
The basics of neutrino physics are summarized, and the standard solar
model is described. The solar neutrino problem is reviewed, and the MSW
effect is discussed. Present and future electronic and radiochemical
experiments addressing the solar neutrino problem are examined.
