On 2008-08-02 at 18:29 UT, RXTE observed the position of the transient AGL J0229+2054 reported by Agile (Bulgarelli et al, ATEL #1641). In an 800 second exposure, no source was detected by the PCA instrument, with a 95% flux upper limit of of 0.5 mCrab (2-10 keV). The lack of a PCA detection appears consistent with the transient behavior reported by the Agile team.
