The QSO Q0000-26 was observed with CASPEC on the ESO 3.6-m telescope on August 30 and 31, 1987. Data reduction is discussed as well as the properties of the Ly-alpha forest lines, and metal line systems. By measuring the FWHM of lines in the arc spectrum, a spectral resolution of about 30 km/s was estimated. The following metal containing systems were discovered: z(abs) = 3.392 and z(abs) = 4.133.
