Several nuclear reactions have recently been measured which relate to the inhomogeneous models of primordial nucleosynthesis. These are the 8Li(α, n)11B, 8Li(d, n)9Be, and 8Li(d, t)7Li reactions. All three measurements require use of 8Li beams. The first used that from RIKEN's radioactive ion beam facility, while the second and third used that from the University of Notre Dame's facility. All three reactions are potentially important for predicting the primordial abundances of 11B and heavier nuclides in the inhomogeneous models.
