CCDs having circular rather than rectilinear symmetry offer some
advantages for low-order wavefront sensing. A series of imagers having
24 sectors and 12 radial zones (plus frame store) has been developed.
Three different output structures have been utilized in order to
investigate low-noise operational limits.
