A multimode (SAR, altimeter, radiometer) radar system was designed for
the Venus Radar Mapper highly elliptical orbital geometry. The nominal
mission lasts one full Venusian rotation of 243 days. The science
objectives, mission constraints, radar system design, flight hardware,
and ground processing methods are summarized.
