Integral will be launched in October this year by a Russian Proton rocket into a highly elliptical orbit. The mission will be controlled from the Integral Operational Ground Segment, which will take charge of the satellite's operation from its separation from the launcher until the end of the mission. This article describes the ground-segment architecture and specifically the functionality of the Integral Operational Ground Segment.
