Low dispersion spectral data obtained with a 70-cm meniscus telescope has been used to find 180 carbon stars. Of these, 114 were found at Abastumani. Data on 77 of them are given for the first time. It is shown that the distribution of the carbon stars with respect to latitude and longitude is uniform, although a very significant peak is observed in the interval of latitudes 0.5-1.0 deg, and the surface distribution is random. The 'nearest-neighbor' method has been used to find four pairs of carbon stars and five real associations of a carbon star with an open cluster of stars. The limiting angular separation of the components of such pairs is 0.05 and 0.2 deg, respectively. The percentage of carbon stars in pairs is 4.5 and in clusters 3.
