The literature on the ray theory of MHD waves (or geometrical
magnetohydrodynamics) is surveyed. Particular consideration is given to
simple dispersion laws, longitudinal and transverse wave channels,
transverse rays and longitudinal modes, resonance in a caustic shadow,
and propagation in moving plasmas.
