Nova Vulpeculae was observed from November 11 to December 16, 1976, at the Peking Observatory. This nova was observed with the grating spectrograph attached to the Cassegrain focus of the 60/90-cm Schmidt telescope. This paper gives the identification of the spectroscopic features, the expansion velocities, the photoionization temperatures, the color temperatures, and Balmer decrement. In the wavelength range 3400-6700 A the principal lines are those of the following atoms or ions: H I, Fe II, Na I, N II, Ca II, Ti II, forbidden O I and forbidden N II. The majority of lines are of the P Cyg type. The expansion velocities as derived from measurements of absorption spectra amounted to about 500-2200 km/s. Photoionization temperatures are higher than the corresponding color temperatures. They increased as the nova brightness declined.
