A new EAS selection method is developed for observation levels 500 ≤ χ0 ≤ 700 g cm-2 and energies 104 - 107GeV. This gives the possibility to obtain a practically unbiased energy spectrum and mass composition estimation in this energy interval. Specific EAS experiments placed at observation levels 500 - 600 g cm-2 are necessary in order to calibrate the indirect methods for obtaining the energy spectrum and mass composition of the primary cosmic flux at energies higher than 106 GeV.
