Earth Atmosphere: Aerosols, Photometers: Solar Spectrum
Scientific paper
The results of measurements of the relative halo near the Sun at Peak Terskol (3100 m above the sea-level) due to scattering of the sunlight by aerosol in the Earth's atmosphere are given. The halo-photometer is described. The general characteristics of the atmospheric aerosol behaviour at the region of Peak Terskol are obtained. The influence of the aerosol instability on the accuracy of the spectrophotometric observations of the Sun is discussed.
