Results of simultaneous photoelectric and electropolarimetric BVR observations of BM And are reported, and a clear correlation between the star's brightness and its linear polarization is found. The contribution of polarized light is shown to increase as the luminosity of the star decreases. The observed characteristics are considered in the framework of two models: eclipses by inhomogeneities in a circumstellar envelope and eclipses in a close binary system. It is concluded that the second hypothesis appears to be more probable.
