Oscillator strengths of 124 Fe II lines in the wavelength range 220-540 nm were obtained from wall-stabilized arc and hollow-cathode measurements. By a combination of hook and emission measurements it was possible to determine a large set of relative oscillator strengths of Fe II lines without any assumptions concerning the plasma state of the light sources used. The relative f-values have been converted to an absolute scale by means of published lifetime data. By forming so-called closed-loops an optimized set of lifetime data could be established, leading to an uncertainty for the f-values within 10-25 percent. Comparisons with computational and experimental data from other authors are made.
