Consideration is given to mixing of matter in radiative zones of main-sequence stars which enter close synchronized binary systems. The mixing is created by slow circulation currents which maintain the thermal balance and may be responsible for the excesses of N-14 and H-4 and the deficit of C-12 observed in the surface layers of close binary components.
