We show that the evidence for black hole (BH) event horizon, recently advanced by using the SXT quiescent/peak X-ray luminosity ratio[6,4], is not reliable. The observed difference between the BHs and NSs involves complications caused by other factors. Our analysis shows that it is very difficult to conclusively detect BH event horizon using current data.
