Spectrographs: Optical Design

Scientific paper

A reflecting analog of Barranne's White Pupil spectrograph will be built on the coudé frame of the 2.7-m telescope. Nearly full coverage over the range of the CCD spectral sensitivity will be obtained. In a second mode of operation, spectra can be obtained at the focus of the collector mirror at resolving power 240000. The spectrograph can be fed alternatively by the coudé beam or by a fiber feed.
