Large reflector antennas are typically limited in efficiency and side lobe level by small errors in the reflector profile. Interferometric arrays suffer from an analogous problem, which can be corrected by the 'self-calibration' technique by exploiting redundant sampling of the aperture plane coherence function. It is shown that, by measuring the focal plane coherence function, the aberrations in reflector antennas can be corrected similarly, and true diffraction-limited images obtained.
