The evolution of supersonic turbulence during the formation of giant molecular clouds is considered. It is shown that the initial stage of evolution can be described by the three-dimensional analog of Burgers' equation. An expression for the evolution of the initial Kolmogorov spectrum is obtained using its solution. In this case, the characteristic evolution time depends on the wave number k. The characteristic turbulence dissipation time is 2 x 10 to the 7th yrs.
