The paper presents a theoretical analysis of conditions for the propagation of Alfven waves in a super-Alfven stream of the solar wind, taking into account the possibility that the geometrical-optics approximation may be violated. It is shown that the amplitudes of the Alfven waves may increase significantly as the result of linear interaction and energy exchange with the plasma stream.
