Features characterizing three types of large-scale variations of cosmic rays associated with variations of the solar magnetic field (SMF) are examined on the basis of atmospheric measurements of cosmic rays performed over Murmansk, Alma-Ata, and Mirnyi (Antarctica). These three types are: (1) variations which are associated with the inversion of the SMF and which are manifested in the same cosmic-ray energy range as the 11-year variations; (2) the zonal modulation of cosmic rays which is mainly manifested in the 5-20 GeV energy range and which is apparently determined by variations of the magnetic field at the periphery of the solar magnetosphere; and (3) variations associated with the appearance of the anomalous component of cosmic rays in the stratosphere during the growth of the SMF and in the case of heightened electric field strength.
