Results are reported for measurements of the abundances of Ca, Ti, and Cr nuclei relative to Fe in low-energy cosmic rays (25 to 100 MeV/amu). The measurements were made in a dielectric-detector assembly exposed on the outside of Skylab III for 73 days. The most notable observation is shown to be the large abundances of Ca, Ti, and Cr in comparison with high-energy cosmic rays. The fluences and energy spectra of the nuclei are examined, and it is concluded that the observed heavy nuclei are mainly interplanetary cosmic-ray particles.
