We show a new imaging technique for detecting shorter periodic structural changes of interferometric data, the slit-modulation imaging (SMI) method. Using simulations with artificial visibility data, we show that the SMI method is highly effective in detecting periodic change patterns having shorter periods than the observing time span of interferometric data.
