It is shown analytically that the Coriolis force may be as important as Hall currents in the resonant coupling of the wave modes of certain geomagnetic micropulsations. The analysis is conducted by considering the derivation of the dynamic equations of a magnetically active plasma for the given problem. The results indicate that the Coriolis force is important in the equatorial plane out to a distance of approximately 2.2 earth radii from the center of the earth.
