Results are presented from a study of high-dispersion IUE spectra of 43 Be stars, focusing on the stars' C IV and Si IV resonance doublets. The equivalent widths of C IV and Si IV lines in the sample are presented and compared with one another. It is found that there is a correlation between the strength of the lines and the projected rotational velocity (v sin i). It is concluded that the data imply an asymmetric structure of the outer regions of Be atmospheres.
