EX Hya is an eclipsing intermediate polar-type CV with strong H- and He-like K alpha emission lines of Mg, Si, S, Ar, and Fe emission lines of Ne VII-VIII and Fe XVIII-XXIII in the EUV spectrum. The density of the emitting plasma of EX Hya is ~ 10^13 to 10^15 cm^-3, more than an order of magnitude greater than that of the corona of cool stars. We propose a 60 ks Chandra HETG spectrum of EX Hya to: (1) constrain the run of density with temperature (thereby constraining models of the accretion column), (2) measure the amount of fluor- escence from the irradiated surface of the WD, (3) measure elemental abundances (controversial from the ASCA spectrum), and (4) spectroscopically measure the density of the emitting plasma (via line ratios of He-like O VII, Ne IX, Mg XI, Si XIII, S XV, Ar XVII
