The center-to-limb variations of solar wavelength in the range 4400 - 7780 Å from different sources are used to examine the limb effect Λ(θ) in dependence on facular intensity IF/IPh(cos θ). The latter was derived from high resolution photographs (≡0.3) measurements obtained by Muller (1975). It is shown that between Λ(θ) and IF/IPh(cos θ) exists a significant linear correlation with the correlation coefficient r ≡ 0.8.
