Centauros, mini-Centauros, Geminion events, halo events, . . . are interpreted as manifestations of the formation of strange-quark matter in collisions of heavy primaries with the atmosphere. The experimental information is compatible with ''conventional'' ideas on formation and properties of quark matter as well as its stabilization in the form of strange matter.
