The theory of the origin of mass described by Hoyle (1990) is used to calculate the masses the particles of the baryon octet. The interaction of the particles and the combinations of the unitary characteristics that define the particles are determined. Consideration is given to classification of baryons, the mass interaction as an outer product, and masses in the absence of small effects.
